What is the appeal of the sea?
I (Mayuri), have always been fascinated by the sea. My mum grew up by the sea in Kenya and it seems that Kev can paint the sea from amalgamated memories from a series of visits over the years.
As I sit to write this today, I am wondering why many of us have such a fascination with the sea.
What is Creativity?
To me (Mayuri) - Creativity is any act or moment in which we make something.
This might be speaking or writing words, cooking a meal, drawing a picture, a doodle or expressing a thought or idea, out into the world.
The Last Guard Poem
The Last Guard is a painting by Kev that was inspired by a poem written by him in 2022. The poem explores the idea of trust and internal conflict amongst other things.
The image was (prior to changing our stance on usage of it) created initially by AI being given the prompt of the poem, and since then, it’s been bourght to life in a painting, Kev adding the character and movement to it.
