Printed at Langford Lakes, the Swan at Night is inspired by a photo Mayuri took prior to a Linocut workshop. Swans have been a part of her life since she was a child living nearby to a local park, which had a lake. Blue Therapy (the therapeutic practice of working through healing conversation by water) now recognises the beneficial power of being alongside water, for the calmign of the mind - whether this is the sea, lakes, rivers, or even the sky (and clouds). Being by water reminds Mayuri to take a breath, (however fast her legs are swimming) and notice her surroundings.
